Business License Online Renewal

Eligibility

Business licenses can now be renewed online. Renewal notices are mailed 10 business days prior to the expiration of your business license. All payments are due by January 31st to avoid penalties. If any of the information printed on the renewal is incorrect, you may make the necessary changes with the exception of a change to a City of Fairfield Business Address. A change of a City of Fairfield Business Address requires approval via our City of Fairfield Planning/Zoning Department. These renewals are required to be walked in to the Planning Dept located at 1000 Webster St, Fairfield, CA 2nd Floor or mailing in with the necessary payment.

Process

Locate the Account # and PIN # on your renewal form and login below. Show me how.
Verify your business information.
Provide information to calculate your license fees.
Provide credit card payment information.
Print a copy of your receipt.

Due to high volume, please allow a minimum of 15 business days, after completing the online renewal process to receive your new business license in the mail.

To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 5.x and later:

5. Click OK twice to close out.

NOTE: In Internet Explorer, the term "Active scripting" or "ActiveX scripting" refers to both Microsoft JScript scripting and Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition. When you complete this procedure, you enable both types of scripts.

NOTE: When you enable JavaScript, an Internet Explorer error message may appear on your screen. To remove the error message, refresh your screen by pressing CTRL+F5.
To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 5.x and later for MACOS9 and later:
1. Select Edit, Preferences
2. Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
3. Click Web Content.
4. Under Active Content check Enable Scripting.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Refresh.
To enable JavaScript in Netscape Navigator 4.x and later:
1. Select Edit, Preferences
2. Click the arrow next to Advanced.
3. Click Scripts & Plugins.
4. Check Navigator beneath "Enable Javascript for".
5. Click OK.
6. Click Reload.
To enable JavaScript in FireFox:
Firefox:
1. Select Tools, Options
2. Select Content tab (Web Features in Firefox 1.0.x), Enable JavaScript.
3. Click Reload
Mozilla Suite:
1. Select Edit, Preferences
2. Select Advanced, Scripts & Plug-ins, Enable JavaScript for, Navigator
  Note: JavaScript is disabled by default for the "Mail & Newsgroups" component , for security reasons.
3. Click Reload
NOTE: If JavaScript is enabled in Firefox or Mozilla Suite but isn't working, make sure that it isn't being blocked by an extension like NoScript. Firewall programs or other security software can also include options that block JavaScript, such as the "Mobile Code Control" settings in ZoneAlarm Pro [1])
